Crunch Wraps

 


    1 ea        12" flour tortilla

    2 ea        Corn tostadas

    1/2 #       Ground beef

    1/4 tsp    Salt

    1/4 tsp    Paprika

    1/4 tsp    Chili powder

    1/4 tsp    Onion powder

    1/4 tsp    Garlic powder

    1/2 tsp    Cumin

    1 ea        Canned green chiles

    1/2 ea     Small Onion, diced

    1 ea        Canned refried beans

    1/2 c       Shredded Cheese

    Sour cream and/or salsa for serving


  1. In a hot skillet, add onion and cook until translucent
  2. Add chiles and ground beef
  3. When beef is mostly brown, add spices
  4. Mix well, finish browning and remove from heat
  5. To assemble, place tortilla on flat surface
  6. In middle of tortilla, place a layer of cheese approximately the size of the tostada
  7. Cover with tostada
  8. Smear refried beans on surface of tostada
  9. Add a layer of ground beef mixture
  10. Place second tostada on top
  11. Cover with a final layer of cheese
  12. Fold one tortilla edge to middle of the pile
  13. Hold in place and fold next section to center
  14. Repeat until you have folded the entire tortilla (6 edges)
  15. Place in hot skillet folds-down
  16. Flip once cheese has melted and folds are sealed
  17. Remove from pan when cheese on both sides has melted and tortilla is toasted
  18. Slice and serve with sour cream or salsa
